Southern End (Muddy Run) Pull

Manor FFA 5th Southern End Pull Rules

  1. ANTIQUE farm tractor models in production prior to 1960.
  2. CLASSIC farm tractors from 1960-1972.  
  3. Weigh in will start at 8 am and pulling will start at 10:00 am.
  4. Pulling tractors may be entered in two weight classes per tractor.
  5. Maximum drawbar height is 20”.
  6. Minimum drawbar length 18” from the center of rear axle to point of hook measured horizontally.   The drawbar must be rigid in all directions and parallel to the ground.  The use of a 3 inch twisted clevis is accepted!  All hitching points must be parallel to the ground (a hole to put the chain in--NO UPWARD HOOKS OR LOOPS
  7. All weights must be secured.  If any parts or weights fall off the tractor during the pull, the entry will be disqualified.  NOTE:  Bolts 2” past the tire or last weight MAX in width and front weights not to exceed 11 feet from center of rear axle.
  8. All engine fans must be shrouded with factory equivalent steel and all hood components in place.
  9. All tractors must have functional rear wheel brakes.
  10. Operator must remain seated during the pull and must have complete control of the tractor at all times.  One hand must remain on the steering wheel at all times.  All tractors must have strong rigid seats.
  11. No hole digging or jerking of the sled.
  12. All operators must wear shirt, shoes, and pants.
  13. Tractors must be operated in a safe manner at all times
  14. There will be no cash awards.  Trophies and ribbons only.
  15. All entry forms must be completed and signed.  Any operators under the age of 18 will require the signature of a guardian. No children under 10 years of age may pull.  Any operators demonstrating questionable driving skills will be challenged and track officials may refuse to hook.
  16. ALL OPERATORS WILL PULL AT THEIR OWN RISK.

CLASSES: $10/Hook
ANTIQUE (PRE 1960) SLOW-3.5 MPH NON-ALTERED TIRE

  • Tire size- 18.4x38 Max Tire Size
  • Wheelie bars preferred but not mandatory
  • Disqualified if horn blows after sled passes set cone

Antique SLOW Weight Classes: 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7500, 8500, 9500, 10500, 11500, 12500 lbs with 100 lb allowance


ANTIQUE (PRE 1960) FAST-5 MPH ALTERED TIRE

  • 18.4x38 max tire size or same size footprint
  • Wheelie bars mandatory
  • Disqualified if horn blows after sled passes set cone

Antique FAST Weight Classes: 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500 with 100 lb allowance
CLASSIC (1960-1972)-5 MPH NON-ALTERED TIRE

  • Stock Farm Tractors
  • Wheelie bars preferred but not mandatory
  • Disqualified if horn blows after sled passes set cone

Classic Weight Classes: 7000, 8000, 9000, 10000, 11000, 12000, 13000, 14000, 15000 with 100 lb allowance
